Our focus on health span is as important as life span. Which means focusing on being as active and capable as possible right up until our later years, rather than just living longer. Mobility is the key to happiness in older life, and certain fitness milestones become important as we age. Addressing these health issues as early as our 5th decade allows us the time to best reach our fitness potential in later life. Screening in our middle age also significantly reduces the risk of developing or the advancement of many debilitating conditions.
The metabolic clinic at SOAR addresses sleep, nutrition, hydration, and exercise patterns. Baseline measurements are taken including bone density, body composition, insulin resistance, endocrine health strength and aerobic fitness in both men and women. These parameters are critically important for an active and mobile retirement.
